Hi folks,
this is just a quick message to flag that we've set up a mailing list to
communicate things about the upcoming Restack project. If you get this
in error, it is because we've bulk imported all - we figured it would be
easy to hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom of this mail once than to
bother every contact person with a list of who to subscribe and who not.
We included the people we had email addresses from previous projects,
assuming they would want/should be included. We also took the contact
persons from the EC portal for new partners. Obviously, this is destined
to miss folks. If you have colleagues that should be included still -
contact our sysadmins (administrative(a)nlnet.nl) or send me a message.
The idea is that this will be a low traffic mailing list - intense
discussions can and should be held in smaller groups (at present there
are 39 subscribers). This is more intended as a high level announcement
list to keep people posted of major life events in the project
lifecycle.
We had a short call last Friday with the project office, dr. Jean-Luc
Dorel. Also present were the Head of Unit Fabrizia Benini and Deputy
Head of Unit Gemma Carolillo. In other words a heavy delegation - they
have high expectations, for them it is an icebreaker for the new (and as
of yet unproven) Open Internet Stack. There are new calls out, we are
working on new proposals as we speak.
Some of the opportunities are intended more for our grantees. Just FYI:
there will be some matchmaking sessions this Wednesday:

In terms of grant preparation: we will be transferring the project plan
into the EC portal as usual. Meanwhile every organisation has to sign
the Declaration of Honour. We'll reach out soon to schedule a kickoff
meeting. If you run into anything, contact Ronny Lam (ronny(a)nlnet.nl)
Let me finally conclude by saying that from the side of NLnet we are
very happy we are able to continue the awesome work we have been doing
together with the grantees and you all!
Best,
Michiel
