Hi folks, this is just a quick message to flag that we've set up a mailing list to communicate things about the upcoming Restack project. If you get this in error, it is because we've bulk imported all - we figured it would be easy to hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom of this mail once than to bother every contact person with a list of who to subscribe and who not. We included the people we had email addresses from previous projects, assuming they would want/should be included. We also took the contact persons from the EC portal for new partners. Obviously, this is destined to miss folks. If you have colleagues that should be included still - contact our sysadmins (administrative@nlnet.nl) or send me a message. The idea is that this will be a low traffic mailing list - intense discussions can and should be held in smaller groups (at present there are 39 subscribers). This is more intended as a high level announcement list to keep people posted of major life events in the project lifecycle. We had a short call last Friday with the project office, dr. Jean-Luc Dorel. Also present were the Head of Unit Fabrizia Benini and Deputy Head of Unit Gemma Carolillo. In other words a heavy delegation - they have high expectations, for them it is an icebreaker for the new (and as of yet unproven) Open Internet Stack. There are new calls out, we are working on new proposals as we speak. Some of the opportunities are intended more for our grantees. Just FYI: there will be some matchmaking sessions this Wednesday: https://nlnet.nl/events/20260211/OIS-matchmaking In terms of grant preparation: we will be transferring the project plan into the EC portal as usual. Meanwhile every organisation has to sign the Declaration of Honour. We'll reach out soon to schedule a kickoff meeting. If you run into anything, contact Ronny Lam (ronny@nlnet.nl). Let me finally conclude by saying that from the side of NLnet we are very happy we are able to continue the awesome work we have been doing together with the grantees and you all! Most signatures are still missing on the declaration of honour. Can you all have a look at it and sign it? It seems that most of you have been asked to deliver their financial statements. Don't make the mistake that I made and think that you have to stress to deliver the 2025 financial year. Nobody can expect you to have that ready so soon. So the 2024 financial year is fine. Self-declaration is also fine. If you need an example for that, please send me a mail. Regards, Ronny.
Hi Ronny and all, Trying to sign, but I can't find out how. I edited OW2's roles in "Manage consortium" and now have the LSIGN role, but it does not seem to be sufficient. The documentation says that "The assignment of the LSIGN role is not sufficient: the role must be linked to a particular project (and thus becoming a Project Legal Signatory or PLSIGN for that project). Linking of the LSIGN to a project may be done by the Coordinator Contacts (CoCo) or Participant Contacts (PaCos)". I can't find any way to link my LSIGN role to the project (?) Hello Ronny, We aren’t able to sign the DoH. We never got the email from the Commission. If you check it says “No authorisation”. Hello Tryfon, Signing has to be done by the legal signatory, in your case Ms. Fuhr. For others that is the same, and maybe you have to assign this role first. You do that by clicking on the project name, go to the consortium tab and find your own organization. Regards, Ronny. On 2/12/26 15:09, Tryfon Chiotis wrote:

Hi all, Concerning financial statements mentioned by Ronny (if you are asked by the EU to provide them), the rule is to provide a Profit and loss account + a Balance sheet for the last 2 years (the most recent you have - as of now, probably 2023 and 2024: the ones your accountant provides, in your language). The documents must be "approved by the management of the entity" - just write that you, as manager, approve, and sign/stamp. You should also provide an external audit report (if available), or a self declaration "on the validity of the accounts" - available here: https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/docs/2021-2027/commo... (print, fill-in, sign/stamp). And do not worry too much whatever your financial situation is - good or bad - as long as you are not the coordinator: I asked the question to my NCP, in case. Just, don't wait for too long: officially, the delay is 1 week.
